I heard him do an interview on Sirius about a month and a half ago. He seemed absolutely fine.

    What a shock. Wow.

From what I hear it is not that it is a faster acting cancer than other types but that it produces no symptoms until you are "eat up" with it and by the time you find out you have it you have very little time left. Usually it is more than a week though.

This is what my Dad died of in July. He was diagnosed last August though he got sick in July. They thought he had really bad flu for several weeks. It was in his pancreas, stomach & liver when diagnosed. He had surgery where basically they just made a bypass so he could eat - his stomach was almost strictured closed. Didn't remove any tumor because it was too large and attached in multiple places. He3 had chemo and did well for about 6-7 months when he got weak and had to go into Hospice. Unfortunately by the time you're "sick" and they realize it isn't just flu, appendix etc, it's generally spread well beyond the pancreas.

But a week is terribly short time. I hope he felt okay up till then and wasn't ignoring symptoms. I will say once diagnosed, Dad was kept pretty comfortable up to the end.
