    Perfect run through hard last night on the Fly By map, hit 43,000 and change for 30th place.

    Just did Jungle Meander (easy) perfect with 10k cash left at the end. 45k for 28th place. At that point it's about tuning - do I REALLY need that last laser? And you'd have to optimize the use of that financial center - the upgrades cost, so you'd have to pile up cash for a while for the interest to be worthwhile.

    I pop in to check e-mail and bam, 30 minutes gone :).

    Jungle Meander, 13th place, 46603.
    5 lasers at the end - 2nd place if I can just figure out how to keep that to 4...the last 20% of the last round starts to overwhelm unless I drop in that final laser. Maybe some mines...hmmm...

    how are you breaking 40K? i'm killing everything. does it ad up lots of points at the end for existing assets on the battlefield? i ended the hard desert one and finished with just two lasers -- maxed out,of course.

    If you are selling towers, you are getting hosed.
    It adds up asset values of what's on the board (who knows how it counts that - does research count?), and cash on hand (1$ = 1 pt), and 1000 points for each life left (20 to start with).
    So, since I typically end with $10k+ in cash, 20 lives left, that's 10-15k a game in "assets".
    I'll bet a fully upgraded laser is worth only a few thousand - the $1500 it took to make it plus the $1400 for the upgrade, with ZERO dollars for all of the research required to get there...

    I tried a few games where I never left level 2 tech, just did a lot of grenade towers and small gun towers maxed out. That saves a fortune in research, but eventually you need something that slows the huge numbers of fast units, and that means level 4 electricity for the 10% slow area effect tower...
