All I know is that Duke and UNC do not want any of ASU in football right now. If they did they had every opportunity to schedule us. ASU has had trouble scheduling teams such as ACC schools due to the fact coaches and athletic directors realize that not only is ASU not a cupcake team on a schedule, but that theres a good possibility they could come into your house and ruin your season. Our friends right down the road from us in Winston Salem won't schedule us any longer, since ASU was always a tough game and actually knocked them out of a Liberty Bowl bid probably 15 years ago. I mean the Liberty Bowl committee was there on the sidelines dressed in their blazers only to have ASU beat Wake that evening. Then after a few close games and another loss to ASU, Wake ended the longstanding series. Oh sure the Michigan game last year was the pinnacle for ASU football, but they actually have been putting scares in teams for sometime now. I remember ASU taking it to Auburn at Jordan- Haire Stadium one night and Auburn had to make a play in the fourth quarter to seal a win. Oh one more thing....ASU did not sneak up on Michigan last year...ASU just wore their ass out by outplaying them. I only hope that the people that think ASU snuck up on a FCS team for a complete game don't take us serious when we play your team. You do not sneak up on a team from the start of the game by punching them in the mouth and them taking it for four quarters and not make the adjustments to beat you. ASU is not your typical FBS or Div 1 AA team, they have a system on offense and have placed the proper athlete in that position to make it click. Next they have stability in their coaching staff and it starts at the top with Coach Moore and trickles down to a core of assistant coaches....some former players that have remained here at App cause they like the area and buy into the system. Assistant Coach Lonnie Galloway just left the staff to go to WVU. He is the first asssistant to leave here in long time. Lastly the players have finally bought into the system, not the on field system but the off field system. Coach Moore does not have to discipline any of his players because the leaders on the team do that for him. The upperclassmen lead by example and show the younger players what is expected of them both on and off the field. Look for ASU to keep the game at LSU respectable much like the last time we played in Baton Rogue. If by chance the game enters the fourth quarter with a glimmer for ASU, do not be surprised if.....well ya know. There will be one thing about it win lose or draw, LSU will know that ASU had been there. Thats more than allot of fans can say about own teams. NO ASU HAS NO FEAR

    Scrubs??

Looking back at LSU's scrubs they played that year...JaMarcus Russell was the QB, Joseph Addai was at running back, recievers were Skyler Green and Early Doucet and Duane Bowe was tight end. Contributing on defense for LSU was Ali Highsmith, Laron Landry and Glenn Dorsey. ASU actually outgained LSU in the rushing dept 176-163. But LSU's scrub QB Russell threw for 208 yards to Richie Williams 80. I didn't point out who these scrubs are playing for now in the NFL nor did I tell you exactly where they were drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. I do hope you were being...or trying to be funny as you described the LSU players as "Scrubs".

I think APP. will stay with LSU up until halftime. I just think they will wear us down in the 2nd Half. Also, they are hard as hell to beat at home. Don't get me wrong I would Love to see them beat LSU. I hope all my thoughts are wrong about the game and we shock the world again.

my point was that LSU's 2nd string played the 4th quarter. I hope that I am extremely wrong and App shocks the world again. I'll be watching and pulling for the happy appies. But, I don't see Les Miles overlooking App like Lloyd Carr did.

Just went through the ENTIRE ASU 2008 recruiting class. Only 3 players had a Division 1A offer. 1 for Illinois and 2 for Marshall. And that's AFTER the success they've had. The talent gap is ENORMOUS between App and any 1A school.
