Is this a good deal on a lens?

Sounds like the conversation I had with my date on prom night.

 

Seriously though - wait til you upgrade to the 70-200 2.8

 

that's what i use.

 

Does that thing get tiring lugging it around all day, or do you get used to it? I'm saving up for the 70-200 2.8 IS.

 

i lug around my whole camera bag when i go shooting events. it does get cumbersome. but it gets the shot.

 

How much gear does that entail? You just carry one body, right?

i trudged it all over disney. heavy, but i got the shots. it was really shooting on the fly. i had my tripod, too, for the fireworks -- but we went back to the hotel and got it.
