    i'm going with...
he was rusty from not playing much the past couple of games and the game was hopelessly out of reach after the titans opening drive.

    for my darkhorse choice...
    the titans videotaped our signals.

He did do some of the things we expected of him this week - look at Smith, for instance. The next step is to throw it within 10 yards of him, and he did that a time or two also. But he didn't do enough, and I'm a lot more concerned with that than I am about whether I hurt his feelings or say something someone might not like. He looked scared out there and the last time I've seen someone that apprehensive to actually play football was Randy Fasani.

Here's the thing. I'm going to keep bitching about David Carr. It might not be his fault he's this awful, but I don't care, he should be better. He's the starting quarterback, and I need more than one really decent throw that's facilitated by a broken coverage. I really would like more than 100 yards and a bunch of scared running for your life because you didn't get rid of the ball when you should.

I don't care if it's Matt Moore, or Vinny Testaverde, or Jeff King, if you're starting at quarterback I expect more than what we had out there this week. We had a number of turnovers and we had -8 yards to show for it. Remember back when the defense was "he's had 8.2 yards/carry because his TE broke a tackle and went 27 yards"? What about when it's 2.5/attempt?

Jake Delhomme would have pass blocked for himself before throwing 60 yard bombs to Steve Smith. He also would have prevented false start and holding penalties by sheer force of will.

You're right. David Carr gave the special teams AIDS. He's also the one who got Danny Crossman hired. Carr doesn't actually throw the ball, he farts it out of his asshole.

You're wrong. Look at the fucking title of the thread. Carr can't be all 44 active players, now can he?

    EXACTLY!!!

You mentioned in a previous post how you hadn't seen a QB play that scared since Randy Fasani. This is so true!!! IMHO a good many of Carr's problems are right up between his ears. He's playing scared. What the heck he is still doing in the NFL is beyond me. With any luck he'll take the Fasani route and retire. Carr is the Anti-Jake.....no guts.

Matt Moore is inexperienced but when he went into the game at least he acted like a QB and with some game experience should get better.
