You know how Jake sometimes locks onto Smith and won't look at anyone else? Carr exists to restore the natural balance.

Well, that natural balance isn't putting points on the board. The one TD drive Carr has that didn't come in garbage time, happened because he threw the ball to Steve Smith. Smith kept that drive alive by running over 3 Saints defenders on 3rd down to get the first, and then Smith scored the TD by breaking a tackle on a short pass.

Ironically, the only time any of our other WR's or TE's have scored this year, was when Jake threw them the ball.

the little ****** needs to go to redneck school for about a week. not only does he suck - he looks fucking ridiculous - embarrassing really. winning can't even wipe the queen off him. i don't care about the gloves and the back street boys karaoke, and the young boys at his house all the time - he shouldn't be allowed to look like that for a fucking football game.

Carr could single-handedly catch Osama bin Laden and you'd blame him for not doing it fast enough. Jake is a better quarterback and we're a better team with Delhomme in there. No one is saying otherwise. But for you to pretend that Carr has been awful or the reason why we've been losing just shows what a biased, know-nothing jackass you are. He and Testaverde were both adequate, but not special, yet Carr gets all the blame from you while Testaverde gets none.

    They were both adequate?

Testaverde has produced 32 points in 6 quarters of play

Carr has produced 20 points in 10 quarters of play and 7 of those points were worthless because they came in garbage time against Tampa.

I was being completely honest when I said that I expected more from Carr. For cryin out loud, Vinny was just supposed to be an emergency stop gap until Carr got healthy, but he outplayed the guy on 3 days of freakin practice...how in the hell can that not bother you?

Yes, unlike you, I actually possess the ability to watch a player and accurately evaluate their performance. You focus on points because every other angle you've tried has resulted in you getting embarrassed, but here again it's laughable when you try to give Testaverde credit for DeAngelo busting off a 75 yard run against Arizona.
Again, you have it abundantly clear that you were and are going to hate Carr no matter what he does.
It doesn't bother me because I don't believe that he was outplayed, although Vinny was a lot more solid than I expected.

No Collin, I focus on points because that's what wins games, believe it or not. I don't give a tiny rat's ass about short completions that look good on the stat sheet, unless they lead to points.

Damn, am I the only one left in America who hasn't been screwed up by fantasy football? I curse the day that shit was invented because it has produced people like Collin who see football as a world of statistics and schemes, but have lost all ability to understand that it's the human beings that matter. Vinny and Delhomme are better QB's because they both know how to prepare themselves and both are born leaders who aren't afraid to stand in the pocket and throw the ball down the field. Carr is not a leader, doesn't know how to prepare, looks scared shitless in the pocket, and he's afraid to throw the ball down the field unless it's his first read and the receiver is wide open.

People on other boards have said the same thing as these guys. I've heard that there were at least two plays where Smitty was actually wide open, but Carr never even looked to his side of the field. Pathetic.

I am too. To be honest. I also heard the same story from someone who was sitting up behind me in the stadium.

It was very frustrating to watch. And now that I read that Vinnie is walking around in a boot I'm afraid we'll be seeing a whole lotta Carr.
