I'm sure by now they're just sitting two men on top of Smitty, but it would be nice if Smith could get some more looks with Carr distributing. VT gave Smitty 12 looks two weeks ago, though he had more looks to distribute by keeping the ball moving.

It's neat to say you stand by your comments, then admit that they were too extreme, then stand by them again. Nothing you said then was justified at any point, so don't pretend like there was a segment of that game where they were appropriate. You'd be much better off if you could just occasionally admit that you said something wrong, but you can't, which is why we have these ten page arguments.
Saying that someone needs to be better is a lot different than saying that they were "crap," "awful," and "ineffective." And yes I did prove you wrong about that, which is when you stopped defending those comments, only now you're back to it.
Short, yes, but not dump offs. A quick slant is not a dump off, so don't pretend like you lack the knowledge to understand that.
Huh? He left the game after the sack by Will Smith. How can you be 6 yards upfield on a sack? Honestly I don't think you even know what you're arguing about anymore, you just want to argue about something.
Except that you can't, as you're still posting about it. "I can quit if I want to!" Heh.

edit - fair enough, I'll let it go. I'll leave you to your angst and bias, and denial tricks. Carr manufactured 10 points after coming back in, looked better after coming in, and I'll stand behind my statements.

Smith hot, but not in the good way

WR Steve Smith's tired of not seeing the ball, and he made sure QB David Carr knew it.
The two had a pair of intense-ish conversations, one one the sideline and one in the locker room, and the reason's clear. He caught two passes for 18 yards in the 31-7 loss to Indy, none of them after Carr replaced Vinny Testaverrde (Achilles) in the second half.
Smith didn't want to talk afterward, And Carr acknowledged he wanted to find Smith as often as possible, but the Colts were doing everything to prevent that.
And to be honest, it's probably best for them that Smith didn't talk, because he's clearly bothered, and could have easily slipped into something he'd be regretting by now.
Still, they've got to get him the ball, since he's the lone play-maker on the offense. Otherwise, it won't matter who's quarterbacking.

Smith has every right in the world to be mad.

I sit in the east end zone and with about 10 minutes left in the game I decided to sit back and just watch Carr.....and Smith. The Panthers were headed toward the west so I had a pretty good view from behind. Each and every time Carr took a snap he either looked to the right and if nothing was there he dumped the ball up the middle to King.

Smith was on the left side either wide open or single covered. It was positively ridiculous. And it kept happening over and over again. I pointed this out to the people sitting near me and we all watched. Finally Smith went out of the game and Robinson came in. And I don't blame him. Carr was only playing half the field and of course that made it easier to defend.

I saw the conversation in the locker room...Smitty did most of the talking from what I could see (but Carr had his back towards me, at somewhat of an angle). Smith wasn't animated, just talking. I spoke to him later, he declined a formal interview, saying he didn't want to talk, and that he wasn't "mad or angry", just didn't want to chat.

Who is him - Carr or Smitty?

Carr fucking blows. Brings the whole team down.

Now, that's discouraging because I heard that Vinny hurt his achilles...God only knows when he can come back...Matt Moore anyone?
