    Wrigley Has Broken The Curse

I'll have to catch an early evening nap to stay up and watch the Cubbies. The curse has finally been broken this year by our year old beagle puppy who we appropriately named Wrigley. He has brought good luck to my beloved Cubs. In recent years, the Cubs have put too much pressure on Prior and Wood IMO. Now, management has put together a nice little team with all of the attributes necessary to win a world championship......solid offense, defense, good pitching, and a good manager in Lou Piniella. And what an asset Alfonso Soriano has been to the team. Wow! A World Series win by the Cubs will go down in history as one of the greatest sports stories of all time. Win or lose, I have been a loyal, die hard Cubs fan since the Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Ron Santo (my idol) era when our family lived in Chicago in the early 60's before moving to Charlotte in 1963. When the Cubs do win it all, I will be on the first plane to Chicago to join the celebration!!!! GO CUBS!!!!

P.S. If Ryne Sandberg was a first ballot Hall of Famer, Ron Santo's induction is LONG overdue.

oops...pulling Zambrano after 85 pitches in 6 innings?

    buh bye.

Scrubs ahd a chance if Z at least throws in the 7th. Now they are effed in the mind, and AZ thinks they can win easily.

But for roto, I post this...seemed to work for him before...

wha? marmol did let go of the game, but i think it's more about all the runs the cubs left on the bags. they need to finish what they start. shoulda, woulda, coulda, but they could have easily won this with key base hits

i don't think they are mind fucked either. after watching the ups and downs of regular season, i think they are a pretty tough team

I don't think that Lou will take any heat for that decision. Was I the only one that was shocked to see Marmol get roughed up like that? Marmol has been so so good for us this year and I don't expect that if he is put in the same situation, that it would happen again. I was mad as hell last night, but then I remembered.....its game 1, and we can easily rebound and take this series....webb is the only starter they have thats any good.
