We got the fucking shit kicked out of us today. After we went up 14-0 they shoved dick in our ass all day long. It never fucking fails whenever this team has a chance to get a crowd hyped up and set the tone for the season they come out and lay a fucking steaming turd at home.

It starts at the top. I'm not calling for Fox's head but this may be the beginning of the end. A few more games like this and his ass is done. It was like a damn funeral leaving the stadium, very much reminding me of the last days of the Seifert era. I don't know why, but it did.

There's no excuse for this shit. 31 fucking points before the Texans call the dogs offand yet Andre MOTHERFUCKING Johnson has a damn Safety or LB covering his ass. Or the fucking TE is sitting in a hole the size of FUCKING TEXAS in our zone.

    FUCKING MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKERS!!!

Is there any way possible that Jarrett could be worse than Colbert?

We're still not strong up front, and the urge to look for cut back lanes almost seems to make DeShaun and DeAngelo even worse when it comes to running inside. Kalil was repeatedly punked and doesn't appear to be ready, so I guess Bridges gets back into the lineup next week.

Carter and Colbert are third receivers at best, reinforcing what everyone knew, that it was stupid to cut Keyshawn. Jake did ok aside from the one bonehead throw, and it was nice to see Steve keep fighting until the end. It also seems like teams expect us to swing to the RBs now, so we need to keep them honest by going deep more. Oh, and Henning sucks!

    D:
Teams know that if they can control Peppers, we don't have a pass rush, so the Texans repeatedly cut him with backs and tight ends. I actually thought that a couple were chop blocks. I know that the lack of pressure makes people want more blitzes, but I don't think we can. Our coverage is so bad, that taking more people away from it means the holes are just that much bigger. I guess you can take the chance of getting to the QB before he finds someone wide open for a long touchdown, but you do that too often and you always lose.

Speaking of the coverage, Houston did what St. Louis should have done last week. Kubiak and Sherman game-planned extremely well to isolate our safeties. If you want your star receiver matched up against someone other than our CBs, bring them inside the hashes. The LBs couldn't pick up the slack, Cooper was invisible, and Chris Harris is just an outright liability.

    ST:
    Complete garbage.

    Coaching:
I know that everyone's first instinct is to fire every coach, but we changed offensive coordinators and we have the same problems, don't we? Usually it's not the coaching. Crossman is stealing money, but I can't complain too much about Davidson or Trgovac today. Houston's coaches were better, certainly, but I didn't think that our guys were incompetent. The players just didn't make plays, and every bounce seemed to go the Texans' way. Two turnovers get overturned on challenges, punts kick out at the one yard line, and a kickoff goes bounding into your own end zone and it's just not your day.

No matter how humiliating it was, this only counts as one loss. Get shit straight and take care of business in Atlanta next week and we're back on track.

he still does. It does royally blow that we had a lead and couldn't close it out because the thing we chose to do, we couldn't. It does suck that our offense isn't hitting on all cylinders right now. Then again, five years into a program, versus two games? Neither is excusable, but yeah, Dan Henning still did his part to not be coaching right now.

Maybe we could have a little weekly side segment where we decide whether or not we're going to pine for Dan Henning needlessly.

broken record. carbon copy. stop me if you've heard this one before. deja vu.

in a round-about way, maybe too diplomatically, i think the point i'm after is firing henning hasn't been the magic elixer that we all wanted. if you are inclined, you are welcome to analyze and autopsy the innards out of today's game and personnel and plans and schemes and the hobgoblinesque rallying-call of all fans, the holy grail of coach-beheadness, adjustments, or lack thereof.

in the end, like so many other panther games in that 5 year program, they didn't get it done and looked bad doing so.

and ya...st has been shit on shingle for too long now.

Weren't you saying last week that no one was criticizing Henning? It's nice to see you finally showing your true colors, but for the record, that comment was tongue in cheek. Thanks for obsessing about that instead of answering any of the other 418 words that actually related to this game.

Smitty was and always is awesome and I'm happy I get to cheer for him. Weather was gorgeous and with all the tragedies in my personal life and anti-depressants, football is still fun but doesn't destroy me when we lose. That's all I got. :52:

yeah, I was. Stand behind that.

And sure, maybe you were saying it just to say it. Sounded like criticism. I'm not happy with how the offense ran today either, but much like nailing Trgo right now, it doesn't matter if the team doesn't bother showing up.

In the end, when we're good, our problems are gone. When we won last year we didn't have explosion out of the 2nd WR or production out of the TE. We didn't have RBs hitting holes. Now it's only when we lose, so I guess it's either level of play or execution. If it comes down to us being streaky, or whether we bring our heart, maybe that's not something that can be schemed.

Is it Atlanta next week or Tampa?? Im sorry but I really saw the momentum swing when Lucas look like he had a int and it got overturned. We looked like we couldnt wrap up tackles for anything. ALso Offense wise Jake did well for what time he had. After our firs 2 tds it seemed like we stopped rolling him out. That worked well.. never saw that till the very end of the game. All the crazyness of this game. Yes we played poorly, but comeon some of those turnovers just dont happen. Plus a few times 3rd and short we didnt do our patented hand the ball to hoov. He always can get those short yardage situations. We just got punked. Congrats Texans enjoy it and now get ready for Indy. Everything else though today worked in our favor division wise. We really need to get our defense clicking. Schaub never once saw a sack.. Hurried a few times.. but they were just to few and far between. We knew we would not win them all. Time to earn your money and lets win next week.
