    Cards were 83-79 last year. I hope the Cubs make it. Makes the playoffs way more interesting in the NL

    Amazing 9th inning.

    Cubs up 3-1 going into the bottom of the 9th. Bouncer that should have been an easy first out kicks off 1st base for a hit, then the next batter triples...all of a sudden tying run is on third, no outs. ARGH!!!!

    Next batter hits it to the drawn in infield, runner on third holds, 1 out. Next batter walks. Next batter grounds into a 3-6-1 DP!!!! CUBS WIN!!!!

    I can't take this.:hyper: :dizzy2: :47:

    I'm liking their schedule for the remainder of the year too. Only really good starter they should face from here out will be Harang for Cincy.

    4-0 after the 1st inning....soriano hit another lead-off bomb. a win tonight moves us into sole possesion of 1st place. GO CUBBIES!!!

    by the way, the reds completed the sweep of the cardinals today. that might put them 5 back. the cards are DONE!

    Just hoping Trachsel can put up a somewhat solid performance. I have no confidence whatsoever in him.

    Let's also hope the Reds stay on their roll for another three games. After that they can forget how to win for the rest of the year.

    Two solo long balls in the 4th. This doesn't make me comfortable. We need to rebuild the cushion ASAP.
