WFNZ's Gary Williams popped for DUI

im not a hater man but i gotta tell you, such is life for public figures. when you accept the role of living in the spotlight you subject your behavior to public scrutiny....the good, the bad, and the ugly. just like williams speaks on other public figures (aka michael vick and leonard little among others), he now must assume the position and take it like he gives it. hopefully he'll gain a newer perspective and remember his days at the other end of the shooting gallery when the opportinuty presents itself.

Honestly, have you ever heard a "white" man speak ebonics with such expertise. He is a no-talent, right place at the right time individual. If the sponsors really listened they would have a fit. He is a total disgrace. He has stepped way over the bounds compared to Imus. But this society has a double standard for whites and blacks.

If he is white, David Duke is black.

Can't believe I'm even doing this...I used to hate him...but not in the last few years.

I think the guy is QUITE talented. Very witty and very fast with a quick one liner. Some of the "guest hosts" I've known have told me he's "funny as hell and is pretty damn smart."

He's a major part of the show. He rips on white and blacks equally. He's an equal opportunity discriminator.

 

i love sports radio.............but gary williams is just unlistenable..........so i'm settling for npr lately. and it pisses me off.

besides gary over impressing us with his sat vocab and clumsily worded sentences...

he swears he knows a lot about sports......

but when he cried on air last week....about his dui.....and begged his listeners for forgiveness (no, he wasn't really talking to his bosses and advertisers).....i wanted to stop the car and puke.

too bad he can't find a job in the nj/nyc area.......back home......so he cold talk yankess and giants with people who care about those team.........but i guess that takes some talent...

jim selania....is a gem. just would like to hear him on a different show...

Missed his weepy and I'm sure sincere apology, but did notice in the Observer blurb that he was driving a 2008 Mercedes. Wonder if that's a loaner from one of his sponsors. I believe he was sponsored by Beck Mecerdes or something like that. That can't be good pub for them, him getting pulled over in one of their cars (if it was one of their cars).
