As much as the Observer writers are on PRIMETIME, you would think one of them could've written a quick 50 word article on Gary's DUI.

But then again, doing this might've jeopardized their privalges on being on WFNZ, so that's why nothing was written about it. Cmon guys, the Observer writers ain't gonna give up their access to all that free food Packer has on PRIMETIME now are they ;) ? ? ?

The show is better with Matt Devlin.

I'd assume the fact that the writers at the Observer might be friends with him probably has some bearing on the fact.

I don't want the guy to be dragged through the mud, but that is just seems wrong. Of course if it were me, I'd take all the preferential treatment I could get in this case.

If it were you, it wouldn't be in the paper.

Heard the tail end of him apologizing on air this morning. Sounded like he was in tears.

    Hypocritical

He should have been arrested for wearig that shirt. I heard his apology this morning. Funny thing....do you think if he would not have been caught he would have got on the air and said, "you know folks, a few weeks back I had too much to drink and drove home. Luckily I was not caught but would like to apologize fo being stupid enough to have driven." The ONLY reason he aplogized is because he was "popped".

His station is full of hypocrites. The afternoon show (QCB) makes fun of white people and continues to get by with it. If the role was reveresed this station would be under FCC sanctions. They also make fun of area athletes and celebrities that have been charged with DUI.

I have little doubt that Mr. Williams relationship with high ranking officials within CMPD will prove helpful in this situation. He also is very close friends with one of the best DUI criminal defense lawyers in Charlotte.

It is not a funny situation. It is serious. This was not his first time behind the wheel after having too much to drink. That is never the case. But as long as Mr. Williams and his co-host "mock" the effects of alcohol this will continue to be a problem.
