If that's the case, then we should do away with the idea that anyone in the ring gets a statue. I had no idea that McCormack had one either, but it makes me wonder why someone hasn't put up fake statues of someone taking a shit.

And for the record, I'm all for Sam having a statue because of what he did and meant to this franchise. Having said that, if we'd not been an expansion franchise in '95 , if say we'd been around since '85, in my mind Sam doesn't get a statue.

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
    maybe in the ring.
Don't really care, though. It'd be nice to honor him, and all the same I don't want to manufacture history. If Walls had stayed through his final days, and should've been able to contribute 2003 anyway, then that's a statue.

No statue. Maybe start an area in the stadium for bust of special players who are not legends:smart:

How many NFL players played the same percentage of every snap (as Minter pretty much did) during his span at the level thaht he did?

Put him in the Ring, stop giving statues to everyone that goes into the ring. Save statues for the Hall of Famers.

What about something like a "temporary retirement" of #30?
