    Exactly.

And in regards to your other post, I would jump up and down for a chance to change to a semi-competent cable company, but as noted, they have local monopolies which should theoretically be illegal. Satellite has disadvantages I haven't yet been prepared to endure, but that may change. My biggest problem is that I get my cable internet bundled with my television. DSL isn't an option not only because it's almost as expensive, but because I don't have a landline.

I just had CTC come in and install fiber to my house. 15mb downloads and NFL network. Gave Time Warner the boot last month. It was great!!!

Oh, I agree. Sanctioned monopolies is bad. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind it is.

I'm on the waiting list for it now, but it hasn't moved into my little area of the world. How do you like the TV?? I was considering only adding the fiber internet when it got here, but I would like to know all of the TV features so I can decide if I wanna go that route instead.

Used to be Concord Telephone Company. Renamed CT Communications. Just recently merged with Windstream. They're starting to run Fiber connections to houses. Similar to Verizon. Its a guaranteed 15 Megabits download on the internet and its capable of sending TV signal at the HD level.

channels you have already will become HD, but of course ever show that station puts on won't be HD...like instead of just one HBO being in HD, all of them will be and so will TBS, TNT, CHILL, SPIKE, etc...

The internet is great. Multiple downloads, streaming video and audio at the same time. The TV package is just as good. The signal quality is better than my HD with TWC. They have very little propoganda at this time. They also use the same converter boxes that TWC uses, Scientific Atlanta, I think. They are providing over 250 channels of TV and Music for much less than I was paying TWC. SO far, I love it. Did I menion that I have the NFL channel with it????

its still in test stages. Call them and ask them about it. That's what I had to do. Someone here at work told me, and then I called to find out more.
