In case you have not seen it yet he said this: "I don't know if he was fighting dogs or not, but it's his property, it's his dog," Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis told WAVY-TV in Virginia. "If that's what he wants to do, do it. I think people should mind their business."

    and this

When told that dog fighting is a felony, Portis replied, "It can't be too bad of a crime."

    I cannot believe it.

Portis sounds likes he's taken a few shots to the head in his career.

So from now on when people use that Special Olympics comment about you win but you're still a retard we should use Portis's picture instead?

Now PFT (I know) has posted about the Falcs/NFL having heard more evidence that doesn't sound good, and the Falcs considering cutting Vick if he's charged or suspended. As if they needed more to set them off on each other over there.

Glad all we have is football worries (we've had more than our share of the other stuff).

Don't think they could take the cap hit for cutting him at this point, remember who the source is here.

I'm not saying it's true, just that it's out there for their fanbase to obsess over.

But, if he worked for me and I got pissed enough at him he'd be gone (or I'd make him want to be).

Maybe one of you contract wizards know this , but I would think there would be something in these contracts that allows a team to cut a player if they are involved in illegal activities. If that is the case, it may be the best thing that could happen to them.

If he's suspended, I think he has to repay a part of his signing bonus, and they don't have to pay his salary for however long he's suspended. If I were them, I would wait. If he goes to jail (unlikely with hard to nail down evidence, but possible), they could be better off moneywise still.
