No, Charlotte will only support a team that has a chance to be a winning team. Expansion teams have ZERO shot at winning anything for the first 5 years or so. We've ALREADY been through this pain once with the Whore-nets ( and we sold those tix out just fine). Not too many cities would be able to repeat this same hellish process in so short a time as we are being asked to do. Thus the crappy Bobcats attendance during the expansion process.

they will probably take brandon wright. they will have a roster full of 6-9ish fowards and no point guard

at 8th, Id take Brewer or Al Thornton from FSU if hes there. and yes its time to open the checkbook and get a free agent

The Sonics will use this pick as a "Save the city and stay in Seattle pick." Will the city let a Kevin Durant or Oden go to Oklahoma City? I bet a new arena deal gets done because of this.

I think that #8 pick has Hibbert from Georgetown written all over it, then pick up big name free agent, and Van Gundy as coach, playoffs!

If Brewer is still there at 8, he'll be the pick.

You gotta love the fact that Boston got the 5th pick.

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!!!!!!

This will hurt the NBA having two more possible big time stars out west. The east has an aging pistons team, Wade playing with a bunch of old men, and a big shot shirking King James.

Getting the 8th pick sucks even though thats what the odds were. Was hoping the Bobbers would finally hit a lucky spot . We may get a solid pick there but no one that anyone is going to get excited about. Now if we could could sign Rashard Lewis as an FA then all would be well with the world :).

P.S. If the dumbass Hawks pass up Mike Conley at the #3 spot they deserve all the misery they have now continuing for another 10 years...
