No SAC team is on the schedule for 2008 that I know of. Lenoir Rhyne was added just this week along with Northern Arizona.
LRC and ASU used to be rivals but this will be the first meeting since 1982.
The two schools are only 45 miles apart and ASU has a large fan base in the Hickory area.

Going from Michigan on opening day to Lenoir-Rhyne the next weekend is the perfect example of going from one extreme to another. Also, the fact that Northern Arizona is making the cross country trip to Boone is a good sign of just how much exposure and respect you get for being a national champion.

I went by the stadium Sunday afternoon. There is no press box but there are still bleachers on the home side... the visitor's side looks the same as usual.

That was the first time I visited the campus in 5 years... they've done one hell of a job with that place.

    Temp Press Box

A temporary press box is being installed on the visitors side for the upcoming season. The new box will not be complete until the 08 season, but it is going to be something else. Drawings and artist renderings can be viewed at www.goasu.com and then click the "Facilities Enhancement" section. If facilities indeed do play some part in a recruits decision on where they sign....look for the Apps to start pulling some serious recruits from some of the mid to lower ACC programs. Charlie Cobb and the athletic dept. staff are making things happen up on the mountain. First class everything for a first class program. I do hope that they name the new football facility "Jerry Moore Field at Kidd Brewer Stadium".
