Hurney sells the draft

Everyone liked him in the second. He was better than at 45. I knew he wouldn't be there.

 

i think ginn is definately on the list of 7 -- knowing how they valued KR/PR/WR

 

Hurney said only two of the 7 were chosen by 25. And I don't know that any of them were already taken. I'm going on the assumption that if they were gone by 13, they weren't on this list. Ginn may have been considered at 25, but I don't think he was on this value list. I think Nelson and Merriweather are the two.

 

the list was supposedly guys they expected to be there with the trade down, so I'll assume it's made up of guys who went 15 on

 

oh, i must have misread. i thought it was the seven guys who they were hoping were there at 14, and when they got to 25 there were five of the original seven left.

 

I thought a lot of folks had Ginn slipping, I buy that they thought he might be around. Whether they liked him that much, who knows?

Also, I'm assuming the list was made before they knew how far down they'd be trading.

 

I think a few years down the road Charles Johnson may be the one we remember most from this draft. Glad we could grab him in the 3rd. Kalil probably will be one we remember too.
