I need one, pretty basic business use, loaded with Vista and nothing else if possible.

I usually build, don't have time, so please don't list components.....

    tnx.

I prefer Dell, and that doesn't seem to be too bad a price for the hardware that's in it. You could get away with less for what you've described you're going to use it for.

There was a 25% coupon for $995 and up systems, so that's why I went that high - just over the $995.

So - unless I went alot less, it'd be about the same. Plus - I like to run PC's until they die without lifting the lid to upgrade. I figure I get alot and then roll a few years.

Good thinking. That's the way to do it if the price is to your liking.

Why don't you check Dell's refurb site? I think they call it their Outlet. I've found some really good deals on there.

I was going to suggest Dell. I bought a refurbished Dell last May and it kicks a$$!

I was always an IBM man, mainly because I was an engineer for them for 15 years, but this Dell is sweet!

As long as you don't have to deal with Dell's Tech Support, you're fine.

I've had to computers/pda's that I needed support on... it was a fucking nightmare.
