    What is the best way to run a credit report? I'll gladly pay a fee if it is easy and thorough and doesn't lead to junkmail

    misspellings, not adding the middle initial/name, not entering the DOB, or not providing the proper suffix (Sr, Jr, etc) can all lead to something that's not yours ending up on your credit file. Also try and limit the number of inquiries that will be added to your credit report until you've secured your mortgage. Too many can take your score down also.
