Charlotte at Davidson

Anyone on here going? Should be a good game, if we shut down mini-Curry. Just like his pops, that kid can flat out SHOOT! It's been a frustrating season, but a win at Davidson would be a good way to get a little momentum going into the Hawaii tourney.

 

I got a feeling they are gonna kill us scotty. Not just beat us, but give us a double digit thrashing.

Fundamentally sound teams are going to be a huge problem for us. They will move the ball offensively and will get great looks against us. Our poorly coached perimeter defense will be a glaring weakness against patient, unselfish team like Davidson.

 

TRANSLATION: We SUCK!

 

Unfortunately, I think you may have just hit the nail squarely on the head. I guess I just need to hope that Curry is cold (which wont happen). Either way, Ill be there in the front row of 101 getting absurdly loud for the Niners.

 

I will be going to the game, because I do expect us to win. I thought we played well offensively. The Smithton kid made some very good plays for UNCA. Defensively we played poorly but I think Bobby has come to the conclusion that Jerrell's defense outweights Ian's offense and will probably give him good minutes against Curry. We also hammered it in the post against a team that had a legitimate 7'0 center. I think Courtney is primed for a big game as he's played exceptionally well and is showing why he was so highly touted.

I think Carlos is going to give me a heart attack. He can be so exciting, but he plays dangerously on both ends of the ball. I wish he'd be a little more methodical, but at least towards the end he pulled the ball out and ran the offense very well to milk the clock.

 

only seen one game on TV, but Carlos Williams is the best player on the team.

Davidson is going to superpunk us.

I don't know squat about Davidson this year, but I do know that Mckillop has historically lost to us only because of a talent gap, and that gap is erased.

we will be 3-6 soon.

its cool though, we are young, and Judy made the best of the A10.

 

I dont know how much of Carlos you have seen, but he is DAMN good. Extremely quick handles, and can make shots from anywhere. He is also very good at driving to the basket and finishing. His assist numbers are nowhere close to what I thought they would be, but he is still learning the system. He just needs to impose his will on the defense and take over more often. I havent seen many defenders yet who can hang with him.

 

I have seen him, and I don't know what you're watching, Chi. If you take off the green tinted glasses you may see he is not that good. At least not yet.

He has only dished out a grand total of 17 assists in 7 games with a 1 to 1 assist/TO ratio. I'll help you out with that...those stats suck.

He isn't shooting the three very well, averages less than 1 steal/game and only averages 9 points/game in 27 minutes.

I would like to know just what he does well?

In his defense, Lutz is no help. Everyone got on Baldwin last season but he was averaging about 4.5 assists/game and his assist/TO ratio about 3:1. Mitch says Lutz hancuffed him too but lets face it, if Carlos is the best player on our team to this point, we are in trouble.
