    what's the show like?
I heard their first big CD a number of times in college. It was Jenny Says and a bunch of unremarkable country pop songs, IMHMFO. FOr that type oddity and one-hit-wonderdom I'd as well check Southern Culture On the Skids.

You think they are similar? SCOTS has had a hit?

I don't think they're similar. I do think that if someone's gonna try quirky country on me, I'd rather have SCOTS. And yeah, they sorta had a hit, though it's possible it didn't get as much play outside the south. Heard it every couple hours around here.

I've never heard them other than the shows I've seen.

They aren't anything close to country. From New Orleans so there are some Zydeco influences but its pretty much straight rock. I think they are closer to Cake than SCOTS but without horns.

They had 3 hits from their first album:
    Jenny Says
    How do you tell someone
    Love of my life

They have another song on the radio now
    Joe Strummer

They played a couple of other songs on their new album which I really liked
    Voodoo House and Slow Down

The drummer/singer interacts with the audience like no one I have ever seen. He feeds off them and they feed of him. You can't help but dig it.

And their base player is a really fine chick.

I remember hearing an edited version of Soul City a few times on classic rock radio. Either Greensboro or Raleigh, I can't remember.
