yup. That's why I think Adams is on the bubble myself. Unless they keep 7 LBers (not counting Kyle)

Morgan and Davis are locks. It looks like Diggs has won the Will spot. So he's a lock. Anderson is young and shows promise. Draft can backup the middle and the strong side. That leaves you to choose between Seward and Adams, and frankly Seward has flat out, ouplayed Adams.

and Seward plays, theoretically, all 3 positions, too. He's currently at MLB, but he played at all 3 in preseason last year. Adams plays one, and I'm more than fine with Anderson having to play some if Diggs isn't healthy. We might not be able to come up with Adams again midseason if there's an extended injury, but we might.

I don't think he can either, but I thought you were the one de-emphasizing the differences between WLB and SLB. :imagestor Anyway, Draft backs up SLB and Diggs could play there if a reshuffling was necessary as well. If we keep Hill over Hankton at WR, it would be that much more of a surprise to cut Adams as well. I'd be surprised if we didn't keep 7 LBs.

I think Adams just got a bit more valuable since Diggs - as usual - is gimpy.

I also think Salley got more valuable.

I also said Davis was stronger than he lifted, that he'd hold his gap, and that he could put on weight. And that it was his natural side of the field. And didn't say that every OLB could play either spot. I know you were giving me shit, but figured we'd hash it.

it'd be hard, and might mean that Anderson or Seward ends up inactive on a number of games (which I don't believe is advantageous). But we'll see what happens with Diggs' injury, that's the deciding factor. Shame that has to happen for Adams to stay, but I believe he's the 7th guy.

Salley definitely showed enough to stay. Will he ever be a starter? Maybe not. But at least he's recognizing, and he's hitting.

The big thing for me was just that Salley was in the right place on those plays. The hitting was nice for highlight films, but the problem last week is that he was out of position, so for him to be around the ball was a significant improvement.

I'm pulling for him. I'm betting he, Marshall, and Anderson will get alot of play next week.

I've considered Adams a lock all along. What concerns me, however, is that he really hasn't done anything to seperate himself from Ciurciu. Not even on special teams. He's definitely the more talented of the two, but I have become increasingly concerned that, if it came down to it, Fox would chose loyalty over talent, and keep Vinny instead.

Fortunately, this isn't very likely. With Diggs hurt, we will almost certainly keep seven LB's on the 53, and we'll likely lean towards an experienced player for WLB.
