Seems they have a lot in common with Hurricane

"They take a lot of dives," Brodeur said. "Every time you touch them, they seem to go down on their knees."

"We've been a team that might have had one diving penalty all year, two at the most," Carolina forward Cory Stillman said. "That's not our team. ...
.....now that Cole is in the press box. Didn't he have 2 in a week this season?

WEST ORANGE, N.J. - This isn't Martin Brodeur's first playoff series, and gamesmanship is not new to the New Jersey Devils goalie.
Having given up 12 goals in three losses to the Carolina Hurricanes -- eight on the power play -- Brodeur may have been trying to get the spotlight off himself on Thursday when he accused the Canes of diving for penalties.

"They take a lot of dives," Brodeur said. "Every time you touch them, they seem to go down on their knees."

Carolina has had 18 power plays, New Jersey 15.

"I think it's great hockey," Carolina coach Peter Laviolette said. "I think the officials have done a great job. I'm sure there have been a couple [calls] missed both ways, but we have no complaints."

For the Canes, Brodeur's comments were a bit of the pot calling the kettle black.

They said he dove twice to draw penalties during an April 11 regular-season game, then again in Game 2 of this series when Laviolette said Brodeur pulled Justin Williams into his crease and then shoved him out, drawing an interference penalty on Williams.

"We've been a team that might have had one diving penalty all year, two at the most," Carolina forward Cory Stillman said. "That's not our team. ...

"He wants to win, and he's going to say anything to get going."

Brodeur must have been watching the wrong team. Devils take two diving penalties in yesterday's game. Langenbrunner and Gomez both called in the third period.

For all of his bitching, it sure seemed to work.

NJ had a 4-1 PP advantage through nearly 5 periods of play (back to game 4).

He can call Carolina divers all he wants...he'll be doing it from the 1st tee.

Well, the devils sure got away with a bunch of pushing our doods into the goalie, and then the penalty called against the Canes for goalie interference.

And what was with stoppage in play when the puck wasn't covered next to the goalie last night?

I love it how bandwagon fans come out of nowhere during playoffs.

    Yall leave Marty alone.
