this can't possibly last. when michael came back and was getting them all riled up, i told my wife i thought he was a plant. he was describing them exactly how they WANT to be seen, but kate knows that ain't the truth (they play-act like they're savages).

for the record, if anybody asks you for the combination to something -- don't tell them -- especially if a gun is involved.

my wife pointed out that anna lucia befell the same fate as both shannon and her brother. they all came to a cross-roads and this time, took the right one. is this the island putting them thru tests or is this just a literary device? bernard and rose were put thru tests as were jin and jin's spouse (damn, a couple weeks and i can't remember names). they are still alive, so i think it's more of a character arc thing.

anyway, so michael is a plant. things that strike me is that he's been convinced to do this (free the hostage and then play double agent) as opposed to being brainwashed. he did, after all, have a conscience about shooting anna lucia.

libby was shot, but i think she'll live cuz, afterall, her story arc is still incomplete. and since she knows michael shot anna lucia, she's gotta be comatose for as long as this subplot stays alive -- i figure till the end of this season. hurley brought up his recollection of her and she noticably winced, meaning she knows the truth as opposed to being as oblivious as he. which means she's likely lying (since they bothered to include that she claimed to be a clinical psychologist in the recap episode -- they skipped so much inconsequential stuff, you can assume anything in it is very important).

michael must be doing this to save his son. i think kate will be the one who is suspicious of it and maybe locke (since he might doubt that henry would shoot three people).

    crazy.

I wonder is the two that got in "real life" trouble in Hawaii were killed off because of that.

    Oh well, guess not.

well, i'm thinking she lasts the season at least (or most of it). they have to explore her character before offing her. and it would be pointless to bring up the dormant issue of where they met before (and have her react) if they didn't have time to go thru it. having her get shot and killed doesn't make sense from a story telling perspective.

i figure she'll be out of it and michael will hover around her wondering if she's going to pull thru and/or just how long she might be out. hurley will keep guard over her and keep michael from having any opportunity to kill her (not that he knows michael is a bad guy). figure this lasts for a few episodes. maybe one whole episode revolves around the hurley/libby backstory (from her perspective) as she's in her feverish state. that would be the most likely episode to resolve her storyline and let her caput.
