Why? No more foolish than our other needs. Less so, IMO, than most.

Foolish, perhaps an overstatement. I would not go in that direction in round one. I would be thinking about a safety if I were them. You're solid at corner (assuming Manning lands there), you're definately set along the front seven. But you've got Mike Brown, Mike Green and Chris Harris back there at safety.

RB in round one couldn't kill them, no. But I don't see that as a vital need for them. Then again, they're pretty good across the board, so it's not so much about a glaring need, but more about the BPA.

no, they don't need a RB in 1.

Their names are awfully generic, but those guys are high quality safeties. They don't need to upgrade there.

High-quality or not, it's the one area of the defense that could use a little touch-up. Not to mention that Brown is one year younger than Minter.

They could use a guard, too.

Mike Green is a so-so, but Harris has potential to be a good player and Brown is already one of the better safeties out there. I don't think they'll address that area. And Collin and Prop, now butt-buddies, are correct that RB is not a need for Chicago, even if they do unload TJ.

None of it makes a difference, because none of it is our problem. He could french-fry an elderly woman in Chicago, for all I care.
