    Scroll down to today's date.

The last couple of rumors suggest that the Vikings will attempt to move up in the draft to get Cutler. If they can not move up and Cutler is gone they will then trade the pick to Atlanta for Matt Schaub. (I think Atlanta might use that pick on White)

The other rumor relates to Favre. Specifically, he wants to play next year but not for the Packers and 1 team said to be interested is Tampa Bay.

I could certaintly see both of those happening. But i wonder if Minn would be better off trading for Schaub right now. If Atlanta's prepared to wait till draft day, bully for them.

Good question. It could be that Atlanta wants too much in return. Maybe Minnesota thinks the price will come down. Maybe Minnesota prefers Cutler or they believe their chances of getting Cutler are solid.

I do know that Schaub will be likely a RFA next year and Atlanta would likely tender him at the highest tender which would mean they would be entitled to 1 1rst and 3rd round draft choice should someone sign him.

Tampa is in no position to pay Favre.

I suspect that money will not be much of an issue for Favre or at least that may be what Tampa thinks.

I've never, ever seen a situation where money was not an issue.

There are plenty of examples where an aging player takes less money to have a chance to win. I am not saying Favre would do that. I am only saying it is possible that an accomodation could be made.

To me this rumor seems suspect more so because of what such a move would mean for Simms who I believe signed a 1 year contract this offseason.

I could see Favre in Tampa for two reasons.

    1. He's back down South (Even tho those from Florida dont consider themselves from the South) in the twilight of his career. Finally gets out of the cold and back into the sun.

    2. He's reunited with Gruden, who coached in GB under Holmgren when they won the SB, and he has no more connections to the new regime.

A QB wanting to win going to a team with no dominant WRs, and an average O-Line??? While its not out of the realm of possibility for Tampa to compete, I honestly feel they've lost more than they've gained this offseason, while most of their NFC south counterparts have improved. In all honesty the Bucs could go from NFC champion to last in the division in 1 year. I'm not saying it'll happen, but the distance between #1 and #4 isn't all that far apart. Lucky scheduling could make a world of difference.

Galloway should have gone Pro Bowling. That was one of the biggest snubs. And while Clayton packed on some pounds and regressed as much as Colbert he should revert back to his rookie form with better conditioning.

Appears the spent most of their cap room resigning guys on the roster. Most notably Booger, Brooks and Rice.

QB debth is a major concern for them. They let Griese walk and there's nothing worth noting behind Simms, Ratay and McCown.
