A buddy of mine went to Western and sort of knows David Patton. He used to play basket ball with him. I doubt they have talked since Patton become a pro though. I would like to see David Patten come here though I think he could help our receiver corp. I do not see how the skins plan to use him now that they have Lloyd and Randel-El to go with Moss. As far as his contract the skins do not seem to be bound by the salary cap anyway....

If you do see him again put a bug in his ear about being a Panther.

And when they're in cap hell in 2007, you'll be saying To Hell with the Redskins!

Once again, I hear this same tune every year, and it has yet to happen. Even this year, the skins were supposed to be fielding like 80 rookies and clinton portis, but instead, they keep everyone worth a shit, and add 2 high profile receivers, and apparently aren't done shopping (looking at John Abraham now). When will you people admit that the Redskins are cap magicians?

The new CBA, and Arrington's departure, bought them some wiggle room, but they've misused it. Having cap room doesn't mean you use all of it. It's like using up all of your sick days at work, just because you have them. Eventually, you're actually going to be sick, but you won't have anything to fall back on. Teams should always have a little bit of room to operate with, but the Skins are willing to push it to the redline.

BTW, they would have been royally fucked if the cap stood at 90 some-odd million. Good thing Tags bent over a coffee table for the union.

Corporate thieves more like it, Snyder anyway. I had all the division teams listed as my top 3 most hated teams, with Green Bay Minnesota and Denver following them...Washington, I hate them so much I didn't even list them!

Although, I have to admit...for all the backhanded shit they do to circumvent the cap, it's great watching them fuck it all away every year. The one with the most toys doesn't always win, Danny Boy!

I don't even hate the Redskins. It's just common sense. They spend huge on centerpieces, but don't have enough depth to hold things up. It's the same shit every year. Every decent Redskin team, with the exception of 2005, runs out of gas in November/December. They never have the depth to combat inevitable late-season injuries. Stupid fucks. And while Carolina certainly spends high on key ingredients, they still place a high enough priority on second and third tier players.

    Anyway, god bless em'.

Wow. The 'Skins have a receiver corps and a half. Currently under contract for 2006:

    Santana Moss
    Brandon Lloyd
    James Thrash
    Antwaan Randle-El
    David Patten
    Taylor Jacobs
    Richard Smith

    and six training camp scrubs.

I hate the Redskins, and love Joe Gibbs...but I hate Snyder more. I hope they go 0-16!
