3rd bowl game in 8 years with a 3 year drought (UNC) versus 6th bowl game in 8 years with 5th appearance in last 6 years (NC State),a 6-5 record was a less than what was expected season (NC State) versus a 6-5 recordthat was a miricle (UNC), due to the ACC Title game there were 10 less days to schedule/change plans and order tickets for the bowl (NC State) versus invite around Thanksgiving (UNC).
Just a few reasons why attendence was a little low. And yes I was there to cheer on the team just like i was in Orlando in 2001 and Jacksonville in 2002 like many of the 40,000+ loyal supporters dressed in Red were. Plus, I'll take a 14-0 win in front of 58,000 over a 24-37 loss in front of 70,000 every day.

 

All that's well and good, but State really didn't travel well for the Tangerine, and so it doesn't surprise me that the Muffler Bowl didn't sell out.

 

its hilarious to me that State fans thought there team was on par with the ACC elite going into this past season...yet now they only compare themselves to UNC.

and that "miracle" record of carolina's was against a real schedule...not a mid-major schedule.
