Smith didn't change his behavior due to coaching. He changed due to his age and becoming a father. Even he says as much, but thanks for trying to argue with me about every little thing. Fox didn't help Jarrod Cooper, did he? Richardson didn't help Kerry Collins, did he? Change comes from within or it doesn't come at all.

The first step is to admit you have a problem.

BTW bright eyes, Peyton was his son and therefore he was a father long before he became a Panther. Being a father does not always equate responsibility. A quick trip down to DSS on your lunch break will illustrate that one clearly for you.

Cooper broke the rules. I will bet if you sat Fox down with a couple of stiff drinks he may probably admit he would have liked to keep Coop. That one came from above.

And Kerry, well I will give you that one. He was a born loser and always will be. Can't coach that..

Moose played a part as well. They still talk almost weekly. Anyone can learn from life, having children etc - some don't because they won't admit they have issues - Coop has said as much - in denial here but "woke up" when he got cut.

Ugh. For a fat guy on Christmas Eve, you sure aren't very jolly. Steve Smith is the one who said that fatherhood has made him much more mellow and responsible. He said that the year off and spending more time with his kids made him realize that he needed to be more mature.

Honestly I don't even know what I did to piss you off, nor do I particularly care. Whatever it was, knock off the attitude unless I give you specifically a reason to be pissed at me.

I stoped this post yesterday morning because I don't agree Smith has grown up that much beside putting on a good service act by coaching at the Y etc, but didn't want to bash him but now that he made a fool of himself yesterday I'll go ahead and say it. I saw him at the Y before the season try to fight a guy multiple times during a pick up basketball game because the guy fouled him. No trash talk was exchanged by the other guy either since he pretty much knew Smith would kick his butt....

so there's my bit on Smith's growing up.
