I'll take Madden being on Favre's jock over Theismann slurping Ron Mexico.

True, but the first of those was set-up by Moorehead's fumble recovery at Detroit's 11, while the other was one 80 yard play made entirely by Steve Smith, so I don't think he deserves a lot of credit for either of those. And yes, anytime your QB directly gives away 14 points to the other team, that's worse than what Favre did last night. As for Chicago, both of his first half picks were embarrassingly bad in that game as well, but at least they didn't lead to 14 points (and he had less protection than he did against Detroit). In either case, Jake has definitely been as bad as Favre was against the Ravens, and fairly frequently at that.

Detroit wasn't one of his better games. He hit Smitty in stride nicely, a throw he should make but he made it. But the two fuckups were god awful decisions facing pressure.

The Pats game wasn't his best, particuarly in the second half though we won, and his opening vs Chicago was terrible that put us in a bad position.

But with that year, he's 4th in the NFC in passer rating, third if you throw out Bulger's injury shortened year, and could easily overtake Brunnell still. And we are 10-4.

I'm not saying he's had an All Pro year by any means. But we could be much worse off. Brett doesn't have great talent this year around him, and has faced some pressure. But like with most of Jake's, that doesn't excuse the number forced balls that got picked, and Brett's had more.

Not to excuse those two poor interceptions, but Jake was at least had a measure of efficiency during that game. Favre looked like Craig Whelihan on just about every one of his throws last night, before being mercifully benched.

It certainly isn't all his fault, but Brett can't save that team like he could in the past.

Hey, listen. He put 14 points on the board. Slice it any way you want.

He didn't do a fucking thing in the first half of the Bears game, other than spot them early red zone field-po.

One of the funniest things I ever heard was you bickering after the Bears game....said something to the effect that Jake fucked the whole game up for you after that early pick to Vasher. Think you said you turned the game off and played Madden after that, b/c no matter if we came back and won, the game was already ruined.

Ya know.....it's Delhomme. He's not great. Never was. Never will be. He does some good things to offset the bad things, so it's not a total loss.

Yes. He was efficient and useful in those games, save Chicago and the NY game that didn't matter past the half. Much better than that game Favre just threw last night. His shit throws are often isolated, even if they're more frequent than wanted (4th in the league in picks). And when we've needed him, he's been there - 5th best 4th Q rating in the league.
    Shit, I'll take him.

Yes, and thats a net gain of 7 points compared to the first half of the Detroit game, fucktard.

His performance against Chicago was the worst of the season. The INT's vs Det were awful, but obscure as hell. Vs. Chicago, he was fucking pathetic. He was one either one-hopping balls, sailing them, or overthrowing backs on screens. Hopeless.

I watched the fucking game, nancy. I was as pissed as anyone that JD tossed two balls to Detroit. I was more pissed that they both went back for TD's.

But he hit Smitty with a beautifully timed throw, and 89 took it in. He also helped the O punch it in on a short field.

    But fuck the positives.
