I like Favre and sure, he's a HOF lock, but that one int to Deion? Good Lord, it had to be 5 yards long into triple coverage. To be fair, it's not like the receiver (Driver?) busted his ass to get to his spot, but there was no way he's was gonna catch that ball unless he had a ladder - a big one.

He's really starting to mimic the Marino path.

actually, I dont recall Marino having games that were this abysmal, but still, hes got 2 games left (IMO)....I hate people that want to tear down legends.

He's playing with a young, undertalented team that's also been ravaged by injury. You take Javon Walker and Ahman Green away, that's a big hit. It's not like they didn't have depth; Driver, Ferguson, McGee (who got taken out by Thomas Davis), and Chatman isn't a terrible 2-5 WR, and Davenport/Fisher isn't a terrible backup RB duo on paper.

Still, they brought line problems upon themselves; they could've had a Jermaine Mayberry fairly cheaply, for instance. And in the end, Favre and the Packers weren't that good from the start; Favre's just not able to hit the passes right now that he used to.

Maybe he can pull an Emmitt and put together a future respectable season out from an awful one, hard to say.

I just want him to get his shit together enough to beat the Bears for us....not likely but a man can dream.

I know the bears will be a big favorite, but never underestimate the power of that rivalry. Players on both sides have a genuine hatred for each other. GB_CHI games were always the most fun to watch.

You have a short memory: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/recap/NFL_20051016_CAR@DET

But as for Favre, Bill Simmons wasn't completely out of line when he called him "the white Aaron Brooks." At one time Favre was the greatest quarterback in the NFL, but now he's an aging guy with a great arm who makes some stunningly bad decisions that cost his team more games than they win.

Delhomme also threw two TD's in that half against Detroit. Thus, IMO, it was not as bad a half as what Favre had last night. I mean, at least Jake put points on the fucking board.

And you're wrong.....Jake's worst half of football all year was against Chi, not Det.

Favre has always made some bad plays and bad decisions. He has just always been able to make up for it. He can not do it this year with no help.

That being said I do get sick of hearing John Madden kiss Favre's but. He has been a really good QB for a long time but to hear Madden you would think he is the greatest player in the history of the game.
