I don't really blame him for not wanting to share the limelight, he earned that and it is well deserved. I also think that Trump was quite bad in how quickly he made the offer and how he did it - Randall had just been hired and was just in the process of celebrating it when he was stopped dead in his tracks and called back over by Trump so Trump could lay the big "how about we hire her too?" on him. I mean, he didn't allow Randall even one whole minute to W00T!!! about it before popping his balloon. That was a really BAD call and a nasty thing for Trump to do IMO.

BUT, at the same time, the relationship between Randall and Rebecca

was presented for a long time as one of friendship and the way it went made it feel like Randall didn't even like her, much less think of her as a friend once he'd won. I think he could have said no in a nicer way than he did, I guess.

Gosh, I didn't even think about the whole thing of how fast he did it, but your right, he didn't give Randall time to rejoice in his winning.

 

PS: I think Rebecca got hired by Yahoo! this past week.

I think in business you need to not burn bridges. I think they way he said no to her at the end killed their friendship at this point. Donald hired you and you've won; Letting him hire someone else wouldn't take away from your victory I don't think?

 

I agree with all of you, but dam, he had the job, so what's the big deal in allowing Rebecca to prosper as well. I personally think that this will come back and hurt him, as far as promotions are concerned. I also agree that Trump could have handled things a little better than he did. If the show that night wasn't live, I believe we would never had seen that.
