I have to admit that Shockley looked strong on Sat. Several teams from the SEC and the ACC have had good outings so far. Let's remember that it is only week 1. Don't get me wrong, I am excited about the success of these conferences, but it is still early in the season. I know sockittome was glad to see the Bulldogs were willing to turn loose of the chain for a little bit.

Collin, I wasn't talking about this year, I was talking collectively for as long as Georgia has been wasting talent :)

Well, it's not as big as that win you guys had over the powerhouse known as Boise St. but it will have to do for now. :imagestor

I know that Boise State was never good enough to be a top 10 team last year. Chances are that they'll win the rest of their games and be in the top 25. Not only did we beat them, but we absolutely destroyed them. Our backup QB had better stats than Zabransky did, and Shockley only played 2 and a half quarters. it was 45-7 with about 5 minutes to go in the third quarter when the starters were yanked. Georgia Tech squeaked out a win, albeit a good win @ Auburn, but it's not an Auburn team that will go 13-0. This Auburn team is the type of team that will go 7-5 or 8-4 at best. Boise (whether they deserve it or not) will be ranked above Auburn at season's end. They are both good wins, but GT's win will mean less at the end of the season. The pollsters think it's a big win. We jumped from 13 to 9 in both polls, and I'm not saying GT's win wasn't a good one, but it won't be as big at the end of the season as it seems now. The SEC West is kind of weak this year, but they still have to play us in Sanford and LSU. Glad to see Georgia Tech into the Top 25 though. Just adds to both our teams strength of schedule. And Boise State will be back in the Top 25, and win the WAC again.

He's still in Heisman Hopefuls, but I know he won't win heisman. I knew that that first game was a little too good to be true as far as passing is concerned. He should average at least 50 yards a game in running. And in the school paper this morning Mark Richt said that Muhammed Massaquoi (Freshman from Independence) has really impressed him and will either start or get more playing time. That will help out Shockley some but I don't expect him to throw any 300 yard games, but I expect him to do better than the SC game. With our triple threat running game he will just have to not make mistakes and be decent (till Tennessee and Florida).
