13 tackles, 1 interception and 3 PD's against the Eagles in the 2003 NFC Championship game. His biggest games have been the Panthers biggest games.

If Henning is going to institute the wishbone, then I would say you had a chance at getting that right.

Yes, Peppers made the play. Anyone could catch a tipped ball, it's not as if Dan raced halfway across the field and dived in front of a wide receiver to catch it. Look, I'm not even saying that Morgan is bad, just that he's absolutely never been a difference-maker for our defense. He's a solid player and that's it. If he hadn't been drafted in the first round and gotten everyone's hopes up, no one would think of him any differently.

    ColinG:
Washington plays SLB, and I've already beaten to death all the facts about how SLBs have inferior statistics to MLBs and WLBs due to the nature of the position they play. Moreover, it's actually interesting to me that Washington isn't getting paid a lot more than Dan considering that Washington was recently a free agent and Morgan was playing out the last years of his rookie contract. And yes, the numbers do show doom and gloom. Morgan is getting paid like one thf best linebackers in the game when he isn't even close to it.

    Trashman1962:
What, did Morgan only get paid in the games he played or something? As I said, if you want to compare him to other linebackers in terms of his production per game, then you also have to look at his salary as a per game equation. Either way you get the same result. And sure MLBs get fewer sacks than SLBs, but SLBs also get fewer tackles, so any concessions you make to Morgan on the first count have to count against him on the second count too. No matter how you try to justify it, Morgan wasn't underpaid by much, he was overpaid during the course of his entire rookie contract, and he's insanely overpaid in this new contract.

And don't even begin to pretend that Morgan was more responsible for our victory over Philadelphia than Ricky Manning.

Man am I the only one who thinks this Collin idiot is REALLY stuck on himself? Man this tool is funny to read because he thinks he knows it all.

Let's fire Hurney and hire him as our GM. He obviously knows more than Fox and Hurney combined, Hell, he is a legend in his own mind LOL!

BTW, couldn't help but notice you avoided the Super Bowl game Morgan had, and the fact that even though he missed 5 games last year he STILL ended up in second place in team tackles, 1 behind Witherspoon. Oh yes, I forgot, we lose a game when Morgan is on the field. When we lose a game it is all Morgan's fault LOL!

I'm not backing off, I still think I wouldn't have given Morgan this much.
On the other hand, I'm not going to argue semantics (this time). I do see plenty of gray area and I don't think it's cut and dry, and I don't want to rip Morgan. He's not exactly what I want, but I had tremendously high expectations.

Regardless, I think it's funny that Morgan signed while injured.

He did look pretty good there, in our biggest win in franchise history.

Hell, we should thank the Eagles recievers as much as Ricky Manning. Or Greg Favors, for that matter.

How dare you question Collin the know it all. This tool reminds me of a retard from the old PMB, A kid who thought he knew more than all the coaches and GM conbined.

Good post. I like your posts and it seems that this Collin dork cannot stand when someone shows what a jackass he is. Typical for a cowboys fan though since he obviously worships the cowboys.

the bonus money can still only be spread over 5 years...and what are the chances that either Morgan or Hartwell play the last years of their deals? Slim.
