    This generation has been dead for two years.

    People trading in their PS2's for Xbox's now don't really matter.

    The PS2 won this round on launch.

    But you knew that, don't know why you've said what you've said.

    Find me proof that the X-box outsells the PS2 overall? Cause just because you work at a EBGames in the mall, doesnt mean you work for the industry. I bet I could find a Gamestop in which Gamecubes are outselling PS2s and X-Boxes, but that doesnt mean its the best selling overall.

    Again, say it with me. DREAMCAST. It was a year ahead of the PS2 and actually looked better than the PS2 on just about every level. But who was left standing?

    First off do you jack off holding your PS2?
    I wouldn't work for a crappy place like EB if they paid me double. Dreamcast is a sad argument they didnt make games and had very bad marketing. That will and did kill that system completly. I have never once said that the XBox 360 will be better. You are arguing with yourself. Do you even have an xbox? I also guarantee you wont find any place where gamecubes outsell anything. I can't pay people to take them.

    Also have they announced wether the ps2 will be backwards compatible yet, because if it is it wont be anywhere near as powerful. Backwards compatibility slows a system significantly.

    my understanding is that it is going to be backwards compatible with ps2. but given the relative power of the machinery, i don't think it's going to be an issue. the compatibility will probably be software emulation which would slow things down, but given that the games running this emulation were designed to run on a slower system, i think it's safe to say that they'll be fine. normal games would skip the emulation and have full access to raw power.
