actually the specs are pretty damned close. The extra RAM should allow the XBOX360 to get past the slight edge the PS3 has in video, which is small. So I say that equals the two out.

The processors XBOX has the PS3. Notice the 3 cores.

PS3 wins best display option hands down. Network is a push. the fact 360 also includes a really means nothing in that damn near nobody uses it.

Wireless controller PS3 has. Bluetooth is WAY WAY nice with far less interference.

Storage IMO will depend if either COMES with this removable drive initially, but overall from what I'm seeing PS3 has a SLIGHT edge, but its not nearly as big as what's been said here, but like I said I'll have both.

these are actually running on a ps3 development system with what is likely an in-the-works nvidia chipset...

    http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/748/748505/vids_1.html

you can view the small ones without registering. looks nice, sounds nice. WAY less insane than that other video. 2 characters, one basic setting. granted, it's not like they had much time to really get in there and push it...

this isn't going to be xbox vs ps2 all over again. the ps3 does really sound like the better machine, tho not by a huge margin. and the ps3 will probably have a larger installed base in the end, but again probably by a smaller margin than ps2 vs xbox.

they both have the same amount of ram - 512mb. unless for some reason, the xbox specs aren't listing the video ram on the card (which i seriously doubt considering they're adding the gpu to the overall gflop ratings).
