    The smiling Preacher :victoryg:

If i had the opportunity, i would definately go see him. I wouldn't want him to be my preacher every sunday though. He seems more like a motivational speaker to me. There's no meat to his sermons.

Well I guess it would depend on what you are listening for.....a positive, uplifting but biblical message sometimes is as good in this dark world as a facts and figures kind of message.....my wife has read his book and has gotten a lot out if it, I haven't gotten to it yet....

You've seen his wife? I don't think Joel would be stupid enough to commit adultry when you have Victoria waiting for you at home every night :) . . .

Where ya'll aware that his church bought the COMPAQ CENTER (former home of the NBA Rockets) and that they are renovating it so it will be the new home for LAKEWOOD CHURCH? I think they are spending $75 million to renovate the former arena. They area also having Easter Sunday service at MINUTE MAID PARK . . Man, with 25000 members I'm sure they need several Brinks trucks to take the offering to the bank Monday morning :D :D !!!!
