I find it hard to believe they would put us in Charlotte.

I find it harder to believe they would put us in Charlotte against an ACC school from NC.

Bring on Tay-has. I aint skeered of them at all. Seriously. Overrated team, based on what I've seen.

In all honesty though, anything but that damn 8-9 game. Being "upgraded" to that game from a 10 seed is actually a down grade. Based purely on the %'s, it's an almost certain denial of any Sweet 16 appearances.

If you would read the article.....

    per the article

Charlotte lost against East Carolina. Just when it appeared they were poised to climb up the ladder, they undergo a major setback and lose to one of the worst teams in the conference.

A very interesting point about Charlotte; call it a hunch, but I think the committee would love to place them in the Charlotte pod. First/second round games are being played in Charlotte, NC, but Davidson is the host, so Charlotte could be placed there IF they receive an #11 seed or better. The reason for this is that the #5 seeds on up are protected from "home" crowds for one round. In order for this to happen, they will probably need to be seeded between #7 and #10. The reason for that is because Duke, North Carolina or Wake Forest will most likely both be seeded either #1 or #2. Being seeded between #7 and #10 would enable a potential second round matchup between Charlotte and one of the ACC Carolina teams.

Sorry I went straight to the bracket because I was curious who Charlotte was matched up against.

hey guys, that's not a prediction of the future. it's just a checkpoint as to where teams would be if that started today. things will definitely change between now and the end of the year.

as far as charlotte not being placed in charlotte, they put wisconsin in milwaukee last year as a #6 seed. as long as you aren't playing a team seeded five or better in the first round then there is nothing to prevent the committee from putting you there. there's no guarantee that will happen, but there is no standard saying that they can't do it.
