    Do you have that game tape? Since you suggested I go look at it, I'm assuming you have full knowledge of everything that happened, i.e. you've watched it this week.

    Two of those picks were in step with Moss. That one was just a badly thrown ball? He still successfully covered Randy Moss in man coverage a lot of that game, something our corners couldn't do.

    You have to admit after game five Branch's play improved quite a bit. I'll admit he just plain out sucked the first few games. But I noticed a improvement after the fifth game. There were more plays and PDs. Enough to consider him a solid FS, but I agree if we wqnt to upgrade go ahead and do it. Tillman sucks, we all saw him play and he is not better than Branch or his equal. He got put in because Branch was stinking up the joint the first few games, but Branch by far gets the most improved player on the panthers defense.

    Agreed. If we want to spend the money or draft picks to improve this area lets do it. Branch doesnt suck, but we could upgrade the position, no doubt.

    Go back and look?

    Shit, Mags. You are a walking Street and Smith Draft Guide. You know this shit in your sleep. Just tell me, who is an upgrade and who is available?

    We agreed that he was poor early. We agree he improved. We disagree on what level he is right now.

    Gamble was most improved. At the end of the season, he could actually cover a guy. I still don't feel that Branch is a player who can just straight out cover a receiver, much less the run support issues (that plague Gamble as well, yes).

    It's there. I don't have it memorized. You said three or four times that I wouldn't come up with a solution, and yet it's there. You just skipped over it.

    and no way Demps is allowed to leave Baltimore. Futility. However, if Baxter doesn't return, and he's fairly cheap, he would probably make a decent safety.

    First off, he was praised for his tackling and aggressive play in college. So I do not see why you cant be optimistic that it will improve significantly.

    He can not cover anybody?

    Darrell Jackson and Koren Robinson = Shut Down
    Curry= Owned
    Boldin= Lockdown
    Clayton= Going nowhere

    Branch covered them like white on rice, in a glass of milk, on a paper plate, in a snowstorm.

    A quick check of only Clayton's stats shows him with a game of 8/77 and then 4/66/2 TDs. Boldin had 6/75, Curry had 4/63. Jackson had 6/71, Robinson 3/52.
    If Branch ever shut any of them down, then again, the requisite definition of "shut down" has most definitely changed significantly since I woke up.

    Even odder, we only won the TB games of the games you're talking about, and only the two gimme INTs were plays he made in games you quoted.
