Strange that Crompton would pick UT over the Heels or Pack. Both schools have QB spots basically up for grabs and he picks a school with two top notch Soph. QB's (or will be Sophs later this year). To me that just doesn't make sense. I'd rather go somewhere with a good shot at PT as early as possible.

I agree 100%. Both the Heels and the Pack recruited him ahead of Cameron Sexton and still lose out to an out of state school. All kinds of rumors about Brent Schaffer(QB) to transfer out of UT but i have seen nothing solid on it to back that up.

I figured one of those sophs would transfer - can't believe either would be happy riding the bench for three more seasons or continue doing the two QB system. Crompton is good but would probably redshirt - meaning those guys are gone any way by his junior season. If one of them does transfer Crompton can be right there to fill in as a back up.

Lots of those mountain players grow up UT fans - you see as many UT flags flying up there as you do UNC or State.

I wouldn't be suprised if Brent Schaeffer transferred. But Sanders has stuck to the "open competition" mantra, and Schaeffer has said he'll be back.

Schaffer is going to transfer to State from what I have heard.

I have heard the same thing as well. From what I have heard, this statement was more true a few weeks ago than it might be now. He's been hosting recruits during visit weekends so with that active participation with the team I'm not sure what his intentions are now.

State's picked up 4 commits in 2 days. I love the days before Signing Day.

You may have heard of Baker;) I'm still surprised he committed with the depth of RB's State has. I guess they're unproven enough to make it worth his while.

This guy looks like a burner. NC's pretty deep this year, even for WR's.

Wow. Amongst all the dickwagging on here I never saw where Baker actually signed with someone.
