Carolina doesn't have a running back situation any better than State

and Carolina actually uses a fullback and tightend to block for their backs.

Amato doesn't even know what a fullback is

the fact that Carolina didn't contact TB for several weeks while Amato was eating dinner at Carter Brothers 3 days in a row with the Baker family, convinces me he's going to State.

well put Franchise, you know I was at every single NC State home game this year and i kinda know our depth chart. Toney Baker has said all throughout his recruitment that playing time is a factor. TA is gone, neither Bobby Washington nor Darrell Blackman showed that they can be a go to back. Actually, they both seem to be trying out for Tramain Hall's replacement as slot. Baker has an OUTSTANDING shot at starting next year, better than at UVA or UNC-Ch

not saying that State doesn't need Baker or that he wouldn't be the best back on the team the day he walks on campus.

But which back or backs at UNC is better than Baker?

Ronnie McGill will only be a junior with a ton of experience. At state, there are two true Sophomores with very little experience. Don't know about others at unc-ch, dont know their depth chart that well.

McGill is UNC's TA - He has shown flashes of talent but misses alot of games with injuries. Baker will run him into the ground.

Part of the reason TA stayed so banged up is because State NEVER uses a fullback - which means the first player coming through the hole hits TA - not the fullback - not only does that hamper the running game but it means the running back absorbs more punishment.

It's a lot of arguing over nothing anyway

UVA is going to get him and he will walk on campus as the #1 back there too

All they really have is Lundy - and he was only good enough to watch the third down back Pearman become the every down back.

Baker will start wherever he goes. Va Tech with Imoh is the only team on his list that has a good established back returning.

no no... I think Baker likes UNC, but views them as a team that isn't quite there yet, and he wants to go to a winner... sorry I didn't understand you before. I think that UNC is up there, but a Bowl win could help push them a little higher on his list.

    I apologize about the confusion.

State also doesn't have an O-Line thats worth a darn, and I kinda got the idea Baker has noticed that.
