Just rumors, but I was at a christmas party last night. I was talking w/ a big time supporter of the WPC. He said that TA has been AWOL since the season ended- no one knows where he is. Also, it's rumored that 15 players are inelligable and that's why Herring bolted to Arkansas. He said Mario may go pro.

IF this is true, we're fucked.

There are problems in Wolfpack land. I wouldn't be surprised by Williams turning pro and My fiance is from Albemarle and her dad is friends with TA's pappy...Word is he won't be back at state...That's why the push for Toney Baker.

My assistant manager is T.A.'s cousin. T.A. doesn't have enough credit hours to play next season, so he's going to have to make himself elgible for the draft.

I think TA is a done deal but and truth be told he isn't that big a loss for State - people are sick of his fumbling always riding the bike on the sidelines way - but if there that many other problems with players it can be good.

It could hurt recruiting if it's true - lots of moms and dads out there might get scared away if Amato is having that kind of team problems

then again it could mean instant playing time for recruits too.

Man I really hope Baker doesn't end up there. Makes me :( just thinking about it.

I can believe TA going pro, but it seems he would do that because he actually thinks he's ready.

The rest of it? I don't buy any of that.

why don't you buy any of that? Look at our players. I question it sometimes.

trust me dude, his cousin's name is Chris Hinson. Check it, he was North Stanley High School's all State running back about 7-8 years ago. Their family is gifted, they're all athletic. Chris said, he just didn't go to class, and he doesn't have enough credit hours to go back next year as a senior.

I have read way too many places abut TA - that he hasn't been going to class for a long time - that he has about a freshman's worth of credit hours - not nearly enough without a miracle for him to stay in school.

Maybe he is lazy, maybe he just figured all along he was going pro early and didn't want to waste time with class.

He's got the physical size and talent to play in the NFL but I think he will go very late rounds if he's drafted - way too many question marks about his "injuries" and fumbleitis and too many good backs ahead of him.

As for all the other players - 15 sounds like alot to have academic problems - thats probably all internet rumor.

Because I don't go around blindly believing every little bad rumor I hear about State just so I can go around saying 'I told you so' to everyone I know.
