He's a fine offensive mind, but he's more administrator than play caller. That said, I don't know whether he calls his own plays right now.
Willingham was a guy I wanted here in January 2002, he's got a strong pro background.

I remember you wanted him. Notre Dame is a hard gig.

I doubt they throw him under the bus like this if it weren't for Utah's season. Meyer has a clause to let him go to ND if he wants. Plus if Meyer jumps to, say Florida, and succeeds then ND will have missed their chance at him.

So I gotta believe that's what this is about.

And, yeah, Ty will get a nice job somewhere in the NFL.

I hope not but this sucks. He didn't have enough time. Hell, were any of his recruits on the field or was the team still stacked with the former coach's players. ??

    re

Ty got fired for setting records that should have never been set.

Losing 5 games by 31 or more points...
Losing the most successfull college football program status...to of all teams...Michigan.

Losing by the largest margin at home...

The list goes on and on.

When you can't pick up the blitz...over and over and over. And everyone can see it...it's time to go.

Funny how Notre Dame would start a game strong, the other team would make adjustments and Ty would never counter. As a die-hard Notre Dame fan...it's time.

    It's going to Meyer.

Hell I'd love to have Gruden...before they hired Willingham they were talking about John Gruden..shit, he's already won a Super Bowl Championship...come on over and coach ND. That would be awesome!

Talk is TY is meeting with Washington.

    Meyer to Notre Dame

    Davis to Florida

Willingham to ECU? He is from down that way. A big step down from Notre Dame for sure but I bet he could turn ECU around.

He'd be a phuck'n fool to coach for any pro team, even as an assitant. I say Ty, Turner Gil, the guy from San Jose, and some other black "Quality" coaches need to go coach at a Black college. They can build a program from scratch, kinda like with Bobby did at Florida State. I know they won't be paid the millions they would get from the Big D1 schools...but their names wouldn't be smeared also. They would eventually get Nationally TV exposure, eventually out recruit a lot of schools also. And it would take time...but with the quality of coaches they are, it is possible. And Ty would make sure they graduate. phuck coaching any pro team, and any other D1 college. Sylvester better take note....he's next. just so the right wing can say......................."I told you so"...

Washington, Stanford. ECU isn't on anyone's radar.
