A great rivalry? Sorry, but if UNC wants to create a new rivalry, I would prefer that they aim a little higher than UNCC. I can only think of one school that would not jump at the chance to schedule UNC every year if asked.

UNC doesn't play any OOC teams consistently every year. We play some of the traditional powerhouses on a fairly consistent basis.

And, if you could read, you would see that there really haven't been any recruits from this area that UNC has even tried to recruit over the past decade or so.

That sounds REALLY hollow coming off that loss to Santa Clara. How about dismounting that high horse for a minute or two?

Geography is the biggest factor in a rivalry. It is the reason the ACC was as good as it was. Close geography inspired in state bragging rights, allowed opposing fans to realistically attend games, and carried the news day around the state/area.

Sure, you could get a great series going with MSU or even UCLA, but it would lack that backyard bitterness that makes all great rivarlies into legends.

One loss is not going to change the reputation earned over decades. And y'all seem to keep missing the point that UNC doesn't need any more rivals.

Given that they're losing half of "the big four"?

We will still play them each once, won't we?

That's two fewer rivalry games. We're talkin about 1.

10 for 26 freethrows. no excuse for that, this team should shoot free throws eight hours a day for the next week!

You don't have any players from North Carolina?
