Wow, that's quite a drop and quite the haul of draft picks we could pick up. I would be for it unless Graham or possibly Warren is there.

After Free Agency, I see the holes to fill as follows:

    1 DT
    1 Edge
    1 Safety-Need FS
    1 LB
    1 OT mid round
    1 WR
    1 RB late round
    1 CB
1 TE if one of the top 3

No particular order, depends on how the draft plays out.

    thoughts?

After Free Agency, there are still some holes, but most of the roster is decent. There isn't a position that we wouldn't welcome an improvement at, but some are more important than others.

I'm not sure we need another DT, with Brown back and a new NT we could be good there. Likewise with Edge. We've done minor upgrades there as well, but the important thing is that our front seven looks to be functional, and the interior is going to be a lot better. I would take Mason Graham if he is available at eight, but only because he's elite.

At Safety, we have one starter and a backup with starting experience. I think we need two there, and one of them needs to be a solid starter. I would love Xavier Watts in the second, but no guarantee he makes it that far.

We need a linebacker, but mainly for depth there. Give me a day three prospect like Danny Stutsman or Jeffrey Bassa.

I don't think we have a need on the offensive line, but getting a developmental prospect is always a good idea in pretty much every draft. The same goes for Running Back.

Cornerback is a need to me. We are set with our starters, but need a nickel guy. Can probably find one in the third though. I wouldn't mind Will Johnson in the first a bit.

Tight End is another position where we are probably ok but wouldn't mind a talent upgrade. With Thomas gone, that leaves Tremble as our blocking TE, but Sanders is the only one I trust as a reliable receiving option.

Which leave WR, where we currently have Thielen, Leggette, and Coker. We need two more guys there, and it's arguably as big a need as Safety at this point. I won't be surprised if we take Tet if he's there at eight, and if we manage to trade down I bet Morgan takes a good, long look at Golden before he takes Burden.

My needs chart now looks like this:

    Top tier--need two starters here
    Safety (1), Wide Receiver (2)

    Middle Tier
    Cornerback (1), Linebacker (1), Tight End (1)

    Grab one late
Running Back (1), Offensive Lineman (1)

    Take them if they're BPA
    DL, Edge

If we stay at 8, then Graham and Warren are the 2 guys that are worthy of the pick. Graham will be gone and not sure Canales wants a big play TE, so trade down to 14-18 or so would be fine with me.

At that spot, you could take any of the guys below and have good value, not to mention picking up another draft pick

    WR Golden, TMac or Egbuka
    CB Johnson, Barron
    S Starks
EDGE Walker, Pearce, Green or Williams
    LB Campbell

I'm not sure why Johnson has dropped, he's one of the best defensive prospects in the draft and would be a worthwhile pick at eight.
