Still no water here, and no restoration in sight. Power and Wi-Fi back up, though. Probably just in time to watch Andy Dalton turn back into shit.

Per usual, the private sector is well ahead of government on disaster response. My company is giving everyone food, water, and gas. Even generators to people still without power. Walmart is letting people shower and do laundry. Elon Musk has almost certainly saved lives with Starlink. Meanwhile, the President who wants to put him out of business was sitting on fucking beach.

I swear to God, if you get though this and don't come out of it hating our federal government with the intensity of 10,000 supernovas, you're just dead inside. You're incapable of learning anything about the American system, or just human nature in general.

    This was outside my house.

So we should have given MORE money to the federal agency that sits on it's fat ass during disasters?

You should really sit this one out, Einstein. Go cry about your first world Seattle inconveniences. Was the line too long at Starbucks today?

I heard some former stooge saying that FEMA was still sitting on several unused millions from some catastrophe that was supposed to be reallocated, but never was.
Also I wonder if any of that unused COVID money can be reallocated?

B&B, where do you live? I’m in western Burke and though there is severe flooding and damage, nothing like the Asheville area.

We had power restored late Tuesday afternoon. Some in Morganton and the county still without power.

We’ve done a a relief supply run to McDowell County, 2 runs to Rutherford County, and are taking a load to Asheville tomorrow for my wife’s Asheville and Hendersonville folks.

I hope your power is back VERY soon and you and yours have plenty of potable water. Hard to wrap my head around the sheer scope of this. Not sure we ever will.

Remember that time Trump refused to give FEMA money to California during wildfires because it was a liberal state? You cheered. Who is cheering now?
