So whoever we are going to pick, at this point Young is getting more press, I read that they might announce it several days before the draft. Why? So their big stadium draft party won't look like the NY Jets fans, with half of them making horrible faces and comments about the pick. Many fans are Young fans, many are Stroud fans. Both have good points and some negatives for me, so I don't have a dog in the fight at this point.

So, maybe the Monday before the Thursday night party, that is my prediction. Then everyone can make their signs......and maybe drink some free Bud Light?

 

Sounds like they want to use Chinn in that Buck spot...but Luvu is a better fit IMO.

 

With the guys they keep bringing in, it makes me think they might put Chinn on the trading block, but then I come to my senses and think how the new guy can use him in all sorts of situations.

 

I don't expect Luvu's role to change. People are assuming as much ever since the Panthers formally announced they'll be using a 3-4 base defense this year, but for all intents and purposes, they've been a 3-4 base team since 2021. Go back and watch any of the base plays from either year, and you'll likely see a 3-4 alignment, with Frankie Luvu playing on the ball. When Snow/Holcombe moved into nickle, that's when Luvu was shifted to stack linebacker, and then they either subbed in Haynes to be the 9 tech or moved YGM outside. I think you'll see the exact same thing happening under Evero.
