    Shaq isn't worth his 2023 contract total. Spread it out adding 2 more years for 12-15 a year or cut him

    Everything I've read about him says he struggles in man coverage.

    No linebacker is good in coverage in the NFL. That's why DCs have moved to safeties down to cover TEs in nickel



    As for Shaq, I like him as a person but he's never taken that next step we hoped he would when Hurney gave him the second contract. He's become a generic mike linebacker, and those players are relaceable. Luvu is the impactful LB who you want to keep around. I know he technically plays OLB in base defense, but he's a mike for all intents and purposes. You don't need two of those when you're over the salary cap.

    I never liked Shaq as a Mike anyway. He was better on the outside, more suited for that
