Rhule?

The scene for Sunday is so predictably embarrassing that I don't think Tepper will have much of a choice. Bye weeks don't matter. Tepper fired Rivera on a Tuesday of a game week.

 

I just want rhule gone. He is so in over his head

 

He'll be in over his head at Nebraska or Wisconsin, too. You're right about him not being cut out for NFL football, of course, but people who should know better by now still consider him an elite college coach. He wasn't/isn't/won't be. He's the epitome of a mediocre NCAA coach. He's the sort of guy who hangs around at Bowling Green for 20 years.

 

Agreed except Rhule wouldn't hang at a place for 20 years even if it's at his level. Guy thinks he's Dabo that needs the breakthrough. I could see him spend a year or two coordinating at somewhere more successful to rehab his image and get a feel for recruiting again. That gets him back to a near Baylor type school without slumming it.

This all hinges on tepper doing it of course.

Here’s a reason to do it sooner than later. If Rhule lands a job in the coming NCAA hiring cycle, the Panthers would get a dollar-for-dollar credit as to any remaining buyout. If Tepper keeps Rhule until after the season, the college jobs might be filled.

 

Maybe Tepper can use those savings to demolish the eye sore he left in Rock Hill.

 

I'm rooting for rhule to take a dollar salary then. Tepper won't learn unless he actually has to pay.
